Always a good and quick meal at Maid-Rite! My family has been coming here for years and we always stop when we're back in town.

Finally had a chance to get some loose meat. Turns out I wasn't missing anything. Have you had a sloppy joe? It's pretty much that without the sauce. And the seasoning. The meat itself is crumbled pretty tiny, and if there's any seasoning on it, it's a whisper of salt and a wave of the pepper grinder overhead. It's on a bun that's just okay, not sure why people think it's amazing. The meat itself is pretty bland. Enough falls out that I was able to taste some on its own. The sauce on a sloppy joe has plusses and minuses- it makes more of a mess if it drips, but it does have a slight "gluing" effect. That's missing here. Now, the meat's on a sandwich with pickles, mustard, and onions, and those add flavor. And the whole thing is, well, a decent sandwich but nothing amazing. Still, for just over $2, it's worth trying and you might like it. I got one regular, and an egg salad. Surprisingly, the egg salad was a bit special. Just the right amount, on the same bun, with chopped pickles mixed in. I will have to try that at home. I like egg salad, and like my own, and do not like celery in it- the textures clash. But the pickles are softer, the textures mesh better, and the salty/vinegary pickliness makes for a good and different egg salad. Foodwise, we're really only at 3 stars. But it's a local and regional institution, and there were lines inside and out. It's tiny, so that's part of it, but it's old and has its traditions and people like it. And I liked it- the staff were frantically busy but friendly. The prices are right. They have a few other things on the menu if you want variety (though most of the sandwiches are just variations on the loose meat.) There's ice cream and shakes too. The place feels like an old diner, with booths on one side. I had a light lunch for well less than $10, and enjoyed it, even if I didn't love it. Bathrooms are across the drive-through lane in another building; just no room in the main one. Plenty of parking onsite and nearby. A patio out back with a tent covering it on a warm sunny day. I'd come back, maybe have a loose meat variant and some ice cream. And another egg salad.

We love all things maid rite! The service is worth the wait so be prepared because there is always a very long line for the drive thru and the inside never seems to be open since COVID-19 hit a few years ago. I really enjoy the cheese-rite and the peanut butter malt! Those are my absolute favorites! They also make a really tasty egg salad and a really good chicken salad sandwich! The food is affordable and tasty and no matter where I am in Ohio I will always make time to come to maid rite

I had heard alot of my coworkers come here for their sandwiches and milkshakes. I don't eat much meat but I did get a milkshake and it was yummy. But totally honest I came for the gum wall. I missed it in Seattle..so it might sound wierd but that's the truth. They were only doing drive thru when we stopped by ... might be open for dine in by now. While in the area stopped at a park a n.v d Greenville falls .. ironically not In Greenville. This was couple months ago.
